My buddy Luna is hosting a giveaway at Project Fraeya, where three people can win a book from her top ten 2010 list. Yes, those include Mistwood and Hunger Games (books that'll probably be the top choices of winners one and two).
Marieke's How To's featured Jackson Pearce (squeeee!). You know? Jackson Pearce - the vlogger! Okay, author, too, but I just love her vlogs so much that I had to mention them here. Anyway. Marieke took an interview with her on how to research a historical novel. Very fun and interesting. But guess what? Marieke will give away one of Jackson's books! Your choice of Sisters Red, As You Wish, or a pre-order of Sweetly, if you win.
Shannon at Book Dreaming is hosting a giveaway! There will be three winners who will get to choose a pre-order book (any book!). You can do little to enter or a lot - all up to you. I know which one I'll pick, if I win ;)
Marike posted an interview with author Janice Hardy on writing MG fantasy. Naturally, I was very interested in this piece. The bonus is that you can win a copy of Janice's book, Blue Fire (yes, it's that dreamy, creamy, drool-worthy cover right up there).
Oh-my-goodness! Sarah at Babbling Flow is hosting yet another giveaway. This time it's ARCs, some even signed! There are seven to choose from! I so want that signed Matched copy - I don't care how the story is, I want it for the cover's sake! People have been buzzing about A Tale Dark and Grim recently, and I desperately want to read that one.
International, like all of the contests/giveaways here.
Let the Words Flow is hosting a one year anniversary giveaway. Congrats girls! It's international, like all of the giveaways I post. All you have to do is leave a comment and you might be one of nine to receive a surprise package! No extra points for blogging/tweeting/etc.
Yup, Quinn - not Quin ;) It's not me, but some day I'll be hosting my own 100 follower giveaway. I nearly put Quinn's picture instead of the "thank you picture", because he's really cute. But I need to focus here!
My buddy Quinn is hosting a 100 follower giveaway. He's giving away $40 Amazon gift card! And he's also giving away his critique of a first chapter (15 pages) or a query letter.
Erin at Christian Mama's Guide is hosting a unique giveaway! Who doesn't want Fair-Trade Coffee of ones own choice, a box of truffles, a novel of own's choice from Amazon (under $20), and a pre-order copy of Erin's The Christian Mama's Guide to Having a Baby! Yup! Her book is coming out early next year!
Miss Eliza at Strange and Random Happenstance is hosting a Terry Pratchett giveaway! How cool is that? Especially with I Shall Wear Midnight hitting the stores. The prize is a Terry Pratchett book of your own choice! Doesn't have to be a Tiffany book - just whichever you like. No forms, just comment and follow.
Here's the first contest! It's not a giveaway. It is Horror at Hannah's!Yup, Halloween is coming up and sizzling horror novels and other cools things are up for grabs (for the winners). Hannah's rules are 1000 words or less, any age group (YA, MG, Adult), it has to be horror/suspense (of course). Oh, and you must be a follower - goes without saying!
You comment on her post to let her know you're in, and then you email her your story without your name. You have plenty of time to do this! Because...
Ends: October 22nd 2010
(The winners will be announced on October 31st ;))
Sarah Enni is giving away a signed (!) copy of Mockingjay. It's easy to take part in this one. Just leave a comment (and follow, of course). For extra fun point, you can include your favourite Peeta and Gale moment.
Sparkling Reviews is giving away a box (Yes! Box!) of books. Some will be autographed, some ARC's. There will be at least 5 books in that box, but there may be more. She made a promise to add 2 books for ever +10 followers after 220. I just filled the 240 spot, so that's 9 books guaranteed! How exciting would it be to receive a box of surprise?
I can't believe I missed this! Lovely Jody Hedlund is giving away some The Preacher's Bride books! It seems that she's giving one away every week. I don't know for how long. Her book was recently published. Congrats on that, Jody!
You have to answer an easy question each time in comments, along with your email address, and she draws a winner each week.
Ends: (this round) 10 PM EST on September 30th 2010
Guys! Angela at The Bookshelf Muse is hosting a 1000 follower contest. First, congrats to Angela on her 1K! Second, you have a unique chance to win a three month mentorship with her! The blog lists what that entails. There are also two other prizes: 5-first pages critiques, and 2-first chapter critiques. You can do as little as follow and comment to enter for the critiques, or you can relay the contest through your blog/Twitter/Facebook to join the draw for the mentorship.
Okay, so obviously Nicholas Sparks himself is not being given away, but...
Alison at Mind Rants of a Totally Crazed Super Mom is hosting a giveaway! The prize is a signed copy of Safe Haven, by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook, anyone!?). She's also throwing in unsigned (but still awesome!) paperbacks of Dear John and The Last Song. You can do little or a lot to gain entries - it's all up to you! Oh and remember to include your favourite Nicholas Sparks novel in your entry comments ;)

WriteOnCon has done it again! I loooove that site and its founders. They're hosting a huge giveaway of books and critiques. Thirty four, all in all, if you count the founders's personal giveaways. Some of the books they're giving away aren't even out yet! You just have to leave comments, and you can have additional +10 entries if you donate a small amount for WriteOnCon 2011! You don't have to donate to participate, though - just to be clear.
I just have to blog about this! My good friend Marieke is blogging "How To Thursdays" where she'll take interviews with published authors every two weeks. Her interviewee this week is Leah Cypess, author of Mistwood. She talks about worldbuilding.
Other things to look forwards to: Writing Contemp YA, with Kristin Cronn-Mills, and Queering the World, with Tessa Gratton (Blood Magic).
Every two weeks there'll be contests relating to each of those authors. It can be their book, a critique, or something else exciting. This week, Marieke is giving away Leah's Mistwood novel.
Tracy at A Blissful Life is giving away the Hunger Games Trilogy!!! I have to be the only one who hasn't read those books. In my defense, my Kindle is on its way in the mail right now - squeeeeee! Ahem. The contest. All you have to do to enter is to follow Tracy, leave a comment to her contest post and you're in! For extra entries you can blog/twitter/link to side bar etc. It's international :D
Jen Hayley took an interview with the amazing Hilary Wagner. She's also giving away a copy of the drool-worthy book Nightshade City. All you have to do is to reply to the post and you have a chance at winning a copy. Easy-Peasy!
Tom on Franklin, Inc. took an interview with Alicia Bessette, the author of Simply from Scratch. There was "a raisin in the end of the hot dog" - roughly translated from Icelandic, but you probably know the saying as "the icing on the cake", "the cheery on top", or some such - and he's now hosting a giveaway of a copy! The requirements are simple: subscribe to his blog by RRS feed, or Google Reader, and comment on his blog. Couldn't be easier (and thanks, Tom, for making it easy. It sometimes takes me over half an hour to fill out those forms).
